Awful Photos

This week's challenge at Scrap Weekly in 2010 is to scrap those awful photos we all have hidden away somewhere. I have exactly the photos they mean and spent Sunday afternoon trying to make a layout with them! They are the sort of photos I would never bother to scrap. To be honest, they would be destined for the rubbish bin, torn into tiny pieces so no-one could see how bad they were! However, I didn't get any decent pictures of the family at Christmas this year - not one single photo! - so these are all I had to play with to record Christmas 2009.
I used K&Co papers and American Crafts Sparkly Thickers for the title. The centrepiece is a paragraph copied from a book I read leading up to Christmas and really enjoyed. It is called 'The Gift' by Cecelia Ahern and the excerpt sums up our Christmas this year.
We spent it indoors!

  1. Oh I love that paragraph you've used. So perfect!

  2. Oh, I have a kerjillion pictures that fit htis criteria and yours are good, believe me! Like the whole LO, premise, pics and book recommendation!

  3. What a great take on the challenge and a great way to capture memories of last christmas without decent photos to illustrate it.
    Thanks for taking part

  4. Great that you did our challenge! I'm still thinking about it! (Mine is set this coming weekend.)

  5. Great take on the challenge. My LO is still a work in progress - no shortage of photos!! Did you enjoy The Gift. I am reading her latest one The Book of Tomorrow and really enjoying it.

  6. Brilliant layout I love the fact you have used those hoto's that night never have seen the light of day otherwise.
