Mother's Day Card

I've been getting ahead again and have made Mum's Mother's Day card. She has Alzheimer's and has severe memory problems, but at the moment still lives in her own house with Dad as her carer. She likes anything flowery or glittery, but five minutes after receiving a card she cannot remember who gave it to her or why.
I've used a picture I saw in a magazine as inspiration for this simple card, using My Mind's Eye papers and some ribbon. The Martha Stewart punch came in handy again for the decorative bottom edge and I've added some sparkle with a glue pen and pink glitter.
I know Mum will like it  - for the short time she remembers these things!

And.... if you'd like to win awesome crafty stash, Stephanie has a HUGE blog candy giveaway at Pink Star Creations that closes on February 28th. So, go have a look, you could win all this gorgeousness!

  2. Oh that card is gorgeous Ann, great folding and lovely colours. Bless your dear Mama, and your sainted father, I expect the caring part is very hard. My word that's a lot of candy; hoe it goes to one of her regulars!

  3. Lovely Card - any amount of time she remembers it is worth it and better than not being able to give her one at all. I'm sure she'll love it.
